Tricia Spence

Tricia has served on the Governance Committee since July 2025.

She was born and raised in rural Western Pennsylvania and has lived in Moscow since 2014 when she retired from a career in corporate law.  After spending decades living in various cities, she was drawn to the community spirit of the Palouse and the expanse of outdoor access.

She earned her B.A. from Duquesne University and her J.D.  and L.L.M. in Corporate Taxation from University of Illinois Chicago School of Law.   Tricia spent the majority of her career working in-house for an international service firm as their European General Counsel and has travelled extensively for both work and play.

Tricia enjoys most outdoor activities, particularly, running, hiking, fly fishing and mushroom hunting.  In addition to the Palouse Land Trust, she volunteers her time with Special Olympics Idaho, acting as the local program director for the Moscow team, as well as coaching multiple sports year round.

Having been raised in a small rural community and then experiencing living in a number of large cities, she realized she is happiest in rural areas and wants to be involved in taking care of our local lands for all to enjoy.
