John Bohman
A third-generation farmer from Little Bear Ridge near Troy, Idaho, John has deep roots in the Palouse and a lifelong commitment to caring for the land. His family has farmed the region since 1917, and the values of stewardship, soil conservation, and responsible land management have been passed down through generations.
After attending the University of Idaho, he chose to return to production agriculture, drawn by both the people and the landscape he calls home. From the rolling hills of the Palouse to the canyons and ridges of its eastern reaches, he considers it a privilege to work in one of the most distinctive agricultural landscapes in the country.
In addition to his farming career, John has served his community through public service, including as a Latah County Commissioner and in other local leadership roles. He brings to Palouse Land Trust a deep understanding of rural communities, strong relationships with landowners, and a belief that conservation and working lands can thrive together. He is passionate about helping preserve the character, productivity, and heritage of the Palouse for future generations.
