Palouse Prairie Alliance

Connecting the people working to understand, restore, and protect the Palouse Prairie

Palouse Prairie Alliance partners gather for the 2026 annual meeting

The Palouse Prairie may be fragmented across the landscape, but the people working to protect it don’t have to be. The Palouse Prairie Alliance holds annual meetings that bring together researchers, landowners, conservation professionals, and practitioners to share knowledge, strengthen partnerships, and advance prairie conservation across the region.

First envisioned in 2024 by partners at Palouse Land Trust, the USDA Forest Service’s Rocky Mountain Research Station, and the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service Plant Materials Center, the Alliance creates space for those working on Palouse Prairie to learn from one another and find common ground.

Today, the Alliance connects more than 60 collaborators working across research, restoration, native seed production, land management, and conservation.
