Welcome back, Kelsey!

The entire PLTeam is thrilled to welcome back Kelsey Vershum as Stewardship Intern through the Conservation without Borders Endowment Fund at the University of Idaho’s College of Natural Resources.

I am so excited to be back for my second summer at Palouse Land Trust! I am incredibly honored I was welcomed back to such an incredible organization.

I have been busy completing my Junior year at the University of Idaho, working to complete a degree in Natural Resource Conservation with an emphasis in Conservation Science. I am also almost finished with my GIS certification. I have been working for the university this past year, as an employee of the Policy Analysis Group in the College of Natural Resources. It is an amazing opportunity and has been a great learning experience. I have met many wonderful people and have learned so much. I am currently the only undergraduate employee, which is intimidating! I am still a member of the sorority Tri Delta and have continued providing education on sustainability to the other members. With Karl’s help, I have become an amateur birder!

This past year has deepened my love and respect for the outdoors and furthered my desire to protect and preserve it. I have loved learning about the natural resources we have around us, and I am so happy I get to work for an organization that does such amazing work. I have missed this office and the people who make it such a success, and I am so glad to be back!
