  • Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre 508 S Main Street Moscow, ID, 83843 United States (map)

Join Palouse Land Trust for a special fundraising live music event and screening of Finding Lucinda, a moving documentary exploring the life and music of iconic songwriter Lucinda Williams. This film delves into the landscapes and wild spaces that shaped her art — from the wide-open fields of her youth to the intimate connections she found in nature’s rhythms.

Much like Lucinda’s music, the film is steeped in place. It reminds us that the land holds stories, inspires creativity, and sustains our communities. By attending, you’re not only experiencing an unforgettable portrait of an artist deeply connected to the natural world — you’re also directly supporting Palouse Land Trust’s mission to protect the lands and waters that inspire all of us.

Your ticket is more than admission — it’s an investment in protecting the beauty, creativity, and connection that spring from the land itself.

About the film: Finding Lucinda offers an intimate and revealing look into a young songwriter’s search for their creative path by looking toward the early life and legacy of three-time GRAMMY Award-winning singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams. Directed by Joel Fendelman (Man on Fire, Remittance, Game Night, David) and produced by Liz McBee (upcoming Red For Revolution, Hi, I'm Nancy Rubin, Burning The Village), this film follows ISMAY, singer/songwriter Avery Hellman, an aspiring artist in search of inspiration for their own artistic journey. Prepare to be transported as Finding Lucinda explores the untold stories and profound influences that helped shape both a legendary artist and those inspired by her path.
