Brittany Harrington

Operations Manager

Brittany was born and raised in Boise, though travelled regularly to Lewiston and Asotin to visit family while growing up. She received her bachelor’s in International Studies with minors in International Comparative Politics and Spanish from the University of Idaho and studied abroad in Costa Rica. She also earned a master’s in History from U of I while working for the College of Natural Resources.

She began her career working in healthcare as the volunteer coordinator for a hospice agency in central Idaho. She and her husband moved to the Palouse in 2015, when she began working at U of I’s Counseling and Testing Center. She started working for CNR the next year, moving from administrative assistant, through a few positions, eventually to assistant director of development. She is also a graduate of Leadership Moscow.

In 2021, Brittany and her husband and their two dogs and a cat moved to Sweden. They first settled in the north near Skellefteå, where she worked as the executive assistant to the CEO of Northvolt Ett. They ate surströmming, visited forests and Norway, picked berries and mushrooms, saw reindeer and the northern lights, and experienced the midnight sun. They all then moved to Skåne and she went on maternity leave.

The entire family moved back to the US on Christmas 2024, knowing the only place to land was the Palouse. Brittany joined the Palouse Land Trust in 2025. She and her husband love being outside, hiking, camping, gold panning, and exploring Idaho. When she’s not out in nature or chasing around their toddler, Brittany enjoys reading fantasy novels.
