Join Palouse Land Trust for an early morning guided birding experience at the Olson Family Conservation Preserve. We’ll meet at 7:00 AM on Ailor Rd for a short welcome and introduction from local Audubon Society leaders, Kas Dumroese and Casey Lowder, before heading into the preserve.

This is a rare opportunity to explore a newly protected landscape that is not yet open to the public. The route will take us through a mix of grassland, riparian, and forested habitats along Big Bear Creek, offering a chance to observe a wide variety of bird species in their natural environments.

The event is open to all ages and experience levels, from first-time birders to seasoned enthusiasts. Because we’ll be listening closely for birds and moving through sensitive habitat, we ask that conversation be kept quiet and movement be gentle so everyone can better hear calls, spot wildlife, and enjoy the full experience of the landscape.

Please bring binoculars and dress for the weather.
