Aaron Collins

Raised on a sixth generation farm near Albion, Washington, Aaron loves the Palouse and working outdoors, but did not have a passion for farming— so while completing a Natural Resources degree at WSU he took my first summer job with a trail crew in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness which started a career in public service spanning 27 years providing opportunities to work in outdoor recreation, wilderness stewardship, resource planning, public outreach and education, and wildlife management throughout the Northwest and Alaska.

He never lost his love of the Palouse an in 2018 he and wife Gail decided it was time to return home, and as so many have, to also return to the Family farm. Fortunately work on the farm is not all-consuming and allows time for woodworking, fly fishing, and other outdoor pursuits as well time to volunteer with local organizations which support conservation of working lands and open spaces for people and wildlife which makes living on the Palouse so special. Aaron serves on the Lands Committee.
