Born and raised in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and moving to the Palouse in 2013, Jahna Fischer is a recent graduate from the University of Idaho. Earning her B.S. in Recreation, sports, and tourism management with an emphasis in Outdoor recreation leadership, she has a passion for programming and event planning, connecting others with nature and teaching how to live a ‘Leave No Trace’ lifestyle. Jahna will be joining PLT as the Idler’s Rest summer intern, helping in community events and all things Idler’s Rest!
Jahna is an avid rugby player, spending her last 3 years in school as the captain of the women’s rugby club. When she is not out at the preserve or on the rugby pitch, you can most certainly find her anywhere there is water! An outdoors enthusiast and people lover, Jahna is ecstatic to join the PLT team and share her love of Mother Nature with the members of the Greater Palouse.
Sierra Hamilton is originally from Horseshoe Bend, ID, just north of the city of Boise. She has been living in Moscow for three years now and never wants to leave this beautiful area. She is a senior at the University of Idaho working towards her B.S. in Natural Resource Conservation Management and Planning with a minor in Political Science. Her favorite hobbies include hiking, hunting, fishing, and just being out on the water.
Sierra is super excited about interning with Palouse Land Trust because not only does she appreciate the land in the Palouse but she loves the communities that make up the region. Sierra cannot wait to work with local private landowners to help conserve the land that we all benefit from.
