If you've ever wished you could perfectly photograph and capture the amazing flowers and insects you discover on your adventures across the Palouse, you're in luck! Renowned photographer and PLT supporter Gerry Queener will be leading this fun and hands-on workshop on how to take great macro (close-up) nature photos. The class will begin with an hour of hands-on demonstration/instruction in room 110 at Moscow Middle School, then will continue with a short walk to the Fosberg Farm's pollinator and native Palouse Prairie restoration sites to practice what you've learned. Register here - Cost: $25, class size maximum: 15 participants.

Mark your calendars and get ready to make an impact on local land conservation on the Palouse.

Whether you're celebrating spring, a graduation, Mother's Day, or just simply spending time in the cedar grove, please join us for this year's first Yoga in the Cedars. The wonderful, talented, and mother-to-be Meggie Cafferty of Kula: Yoga and Tea will lead this all levels class. Suggested donation is $5-$15, with proceeds benefiting the Palouse Land Trust and our friends at Kula. The session will begin around 1:30 and run for approximately 75 minutes. Please dress in layers, bring a yoga mat or outdoor towel, and carpool with your friends! Water and tea will be provided, and please be sure to hit the restroom before you head out to the Preserve.

Saturday, June 10, 9am-noon at Idler's Rest Nature Preserve
Spend National Trails Day sprucing up habitat and trails at Idler's Rest! Join the yearly work party to trim overhanging vegetation, clean up debris, repair erosion and winter damage along the trails, and ensure that the preserve is a safe and healthy place for local wildlife and visitors alike. All tools and supplies will be provided, along with snacks and a light lunch. Please dress for the weather, wear good work shoes and bring a pair of work gloves if you'd like. Welcome the official beginning of summer with a fun guided hike on the trails at Idler's Rest. We'll chat about the history of the preserve, wildlife and plant habitat, and the amazing community support that makes the preserve such a special and wonderful place to visit.
