Archie and his wife Mary have lived in Moscow since 1980. They are both employees of the University of Idaho and have two grown children. Archie was one of the founding board members of the Palouse Land Trust in 1995 and has served on the board ever since. He owns land at Priest Lake that is protected by a conservation easement. He enjoys distance running, reading, and building compost bins and also works with the high school youth at his church. For Archie, the best part of serving with the Palouse Land Trust is, "working with landowners who are passionate about protecting their property from subdivision and development. The open, productive farms and forests of our region are an essential attribute to life on the Palouse."
