Amy moved to Moscow from Antigo, Wisconsin in 1989, to be closer to her sister and family. The first time she visited the Palouse, she knew this was the place she wanted to live and raise a family of her own one day. Amy grew up working on her family's potato farm and was taught early on to appreciate our God-given natural resources and wants to be active in helping to preserve farmland and open space whenever possible. Amy has worked in the insurance industry for 30 years and owns and manages Shook-Leavitt Insurance in Moscow. Amy is married to Bruce Carter and outdoor recreation plays a huge role in their family life. They love taking their children, grandsons and dog, Bella, camping, four-wheeling and snowmobiling whenever possible.
